The Treetop Walk is open all year round, find our opening hours for each season here to opening hours. 
I n the event of special weather conditions, such as thunderstorms or high winds, or other situations beyond our control, such as a power failure, the site will be closed.
 The announcement of the closure will be made on our social media pages.

How long should I allow for my visit?
We recommend allowing approximately 1–2 hours to enjoy the Treetop Walk and Viewing Tower. During busy periods, allow a little extra time for arrival and check-in.

Dogs are welcome on leads on the forest trails and in the Walled Gardens, but they are NOT PERMITTED on the Treetop Walk, Viewing Tower or inside buildings. Registered assistance dogs are permitted.

No. Ilumina (Night Lights) is a separate ticketed experience. Ilumina (Night Lights) access is included for Annual Pass holders, subject to the applicable Annual Pass terms and availability.

Yes. Children aged 0–3 visit free of charge. Child tickets apply to visitors aged 4–17.

Yes. Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout their Treetop Walk and Viewing Tower experience.

Concession tickets are available for seniors aged 65+ and students with valid ID. Please bring appropriate proof of eligibility.

One accompanying carer may be admitted free of charge when visiting with a guest who has additional needs, subject to the current validation requirements. Additional accompanying visitors require a standard ticket.

Yes. The Treetop Walk and Viewing Tower are accessible for manual and motorised wheelchairs. Mobility scooters are not permitted on the Treetop Walk. Courtesy wheelchairs may be available, subject to availability and applicable ID requirements.

Are accessible toilets available?
Yes. Accessible toilets and a Changing Places facility are available on site.

Yes. The step-free route and gradual gradients make the Treetop Walk suitable for buggies and pushchairs.

Dogs are welcome on leads on the forest trails and in the Walled Gardens, but they are not permitted on the Treetop Walk, Viewing Tower or inside buildings. Registered assistance dogs are permitted.

No. The Giant Slide is an optional add-on and costs €2 per use, payable at the slide. It cannot be pre-booked and operation is subject to weather, capacity and safety conditions.

No. For safety reasons, the slide does not operate during wet weather, including showers. As conditions can change quickly, slide availability cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult pays for their slide, while the under-6 child slides free.

No. Scooters, skateboards, skates, hoverboards and mobility scooters are not permitted on the Treetop Walk.

Treetop Walk generally operates in all weather conditions. However, restrictions or closures may be necessary during national weather warnings or when conditions are considered unsafe. The Giant Slide is particularly weather dependent.

If a closure prevents your booked experience from taking place, your booking will be handled in accordance with our current ticket terms, including applicable transfer or refund options.

Booking amendments and cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions applicable to your ticket. Please refer to your booking confirmation for the latest information.

No. Parking at Avondale Forest Park is charged separately and is payable on arrival. Please check the current parking tariff when planning your visit.

Yes. Rathdrum is served by rail and the TFI Local Link 183 route. Please check current timetables and plan for the onward journey to Avondale Forest Park.

No. BBQs and outdoor fires are not permitted within Avondale Forest Park.

Tickets may be available from the Entrance Building, subject to capacity. However, we strongly recommend booking online in advance to secure your preferred admission time.
